These Terms of Use apply to missiosystems.ai and related public pages that link to them. The site is operated by Missio Media LLC dba Missio Systems, a Delaware limited liability company.

If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the site. The Privacy Notice explains how the site handles information.

Information, not professional advice

The site provides general business and educational information. It is not legal, accounting, tax, investment, cybersecurity, certification, audit, or regulatory advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a professional who has reviewed your facts, systems, contracts, and jurisdiction.

Missio Media LLC is not a law firm. Site use and an inquiry do not create an attorney-client, advisory, fiduciary, director, or client relationship. They do not make Missio responsible for your systems, production operations, security, compliance, or decisions.

No engagement until a signed agreement and required payment

An inquiry starts a conversation only. Missio has no duty to accept, review, keep confidential, or act on an inquiry unless a signed agreement says otherwise.

An engagement begins only after Missio Media LLC and the client sign a written agreement that states the scope, fees, term, conflicts result, data boundary, and other applicable terms, and after any required initial payment clears. Site descriptions, typical timeframes, planning ranges, and examples are not offers or guarantees. The signed agreement controls.

Permitted use of the site

You may access public pages for your own lawful business, research, reference, and evaluation purposes. You may:

• link to a public page using its canonical address;
• quote a short passage with clear attribution to Missio Systems and a link to the canonical page; and
• use search or retrieval tools to locate, index, summarize, or cite public content in a way that respects these Terms, the machine-readable policies, and reasonable technical limits.

This permission is limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and does not transfer ownership. It does not restrict quotation, criticism, comment, research, or other use that applicable law permits without a license.

Uses that require written permission

Unless law independently permits the use, you must obtain written permission before you:

• republish, sell, license, or commercially distribute a substantial part of the site;
• copy public resources into a competing library, database, product, or service;
• remove attribution, source links, rights metadata, or review information;
• imply that Missio, Yemi Mateola, a cited source, or a standards body endorses you or your work;
• use site content to train, fine-tune, ground, evaluate, or improve a general-purpose or commercial machine-learning model;
• conduct bulk extraction, evade rate limits, bypass access controls, or interfere with the site; or
• use a Missio name, mark, visual identity, or content in a way likely to cause confusion about source, sponsorship, certification, or affiliation.

Robots rules and machine-readable policy files express the same initial position: public search, retrieval, and citation are allowed; designated model-training use is denied. Technical permission to fetch a page is not a license for every later use.

Ownership

The site's original selection, arrangement, text, graphics, brand elements, and other content are used by Missio Media LLC with the owner's authorization, except for material identified as belonging to another party. Missio Systems, the Missio name, and the Aperture identity are used as Missio brand elements. No trademark license is granted.

Third-party standards, research, articles, names, marks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners. References to them are descriptive and do not imply sponsorship, affiliation, certification, or endorsement.

Standards, laws, credentials, and sources

Standards, laws, agency guidance, market conditions, and cited research change. Review dates and source links show the material used for a page; they do not guarantee that the page is complete or current for your situation.

NIST AI RMF is voluntary guidance. ISO/IEC 42001 is a management-system standard. References to either do not mean that Missio or a client is certified, accredited, approved, or officially implementing the source. References to IAPP or AIGP do not state that a person holds the AIGP credential unless the site expressly lists it in a verified credential set.

Missio summaries and crosswalks are independent working interpretations. They are not official source documents. Use the underlying standard, law, or guidance and qualified professional advice when a formal obligation or certification decision is involved.

Public claims and service descriptions

Objective claims are intended to be supported before publication. Survey figures describe the cited survey population and do not predict a result for your organization. Correlation is not causation.

Service outputs and timeframes are typical descriptions only. Actual work depends on the signed scope, participant access, available evidence, and the client's decisions. A client retains responsibility for its data, credentials, systems, production operations, legal conclusions, and implementation unless a signed agreement expressly allocates a narrower responsibility.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to third-party websites, standards, scheduling tools, or research. Missio does not control them and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. Review the third party's terms and privacy notice before using its service.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• use the site unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights;
• submit malware, false identity information, credentials, patient records, regulated data, or another person's confidential information without authority;
• probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the site or related systems;
• misrepresent the source, review status, or meaning of site content; or
• use the site in a way that could expose Missio or another person to legal, security, or operational harm.

Missio may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the site, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or prevent harm.

No warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. To the extent law permits, Missio disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security. Missio does not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or suitable for a particular decision.

Some jurisdictions do not permit every disclaimer. In that case, the disclaimer applies only to the extent permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the extent law permits, Missio Media LLC and its member, manager, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or reliance arising from the site.

Their combined liability for a claim arising from site use will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid specifically to use the site or USD 100. This limit does not apply where law does not permit it or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These website limits do not replace the liability terms in a signed Missio engagement agreement.

Governing law and forum

North Carolina law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the site or these Terms must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, or the federal court with jurisdiction over Wake County. Each party consents to that forum.

This paragraph does not prevent either party from seeking temporary relief needed to protect confidential information, intellectual property, systems, or access controls.

Changes

Missio may update these Terms prospectively. The effective date and version at the top show when they changed. Material changes apply when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply to that later use.

General terms

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the affected provision will be limited to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign rights under these Terms without Missio's written consent. Missio may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the site or business.

These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the complete terms for use of the public site. A signed engagement agreement controls the professional relationship and supersedes these Terms only for matters it expressly covers.
